COMMON COMPLAINTS: 

Mice are usually classified as a pest species due to their habits of living in houses, getting into food and gnawing on wood and wires. The most common complaints include the following:

• Mice living in the attic

• Mice scratching in the walls

• Mice raiding the pantry, kitchen and living room

• Gnawing on electrical wires

• Concerns over health risks

• Mice living in common areas of the household. 

BEHAVIOR/ DISEASES:

Mice follow their urine since they lack eyesight to follow their track. These droppings can create a host of odors and diseases. Mice have excellent hearing and sense of smell. They have excellent speed and balance and can easily climb most surfaces. They are so small; mice can fit through very tiny holes and gaps in building architecture. For example, they can enter gaps the size of a dime! Mice navigate using their whiskers, usually traveling along a wall or other objects. If you don’t move, a mouse can’t see you. They seek warm areas each fall for the onset of cold weather for food and shelter. It is important to always be prepared so you won’t have any mice as guests!
